Norbert Maurer interview on the topic of power filters

“Classic HiFi mains filters are not sustainable!”

In an insightful interview with Frank Wacker of HIFI-TODAY, Norbert Maurer, the creative mind behind VORTEX HIFI, shares his groundbreaking insights into the future of hi-fi power filters. Hardly anyone has studied the effects of electrosmog on our listening experience as intensively as he has.

Maurer passionately argues that traditional hi-fi mains filters are no longer up to today's challenges. The reason? Our living spaces are crisscrossed by a network of electrical devices—from computers to smart TVs to LED lamps—that continuously generate high- and low-frequency interference. This interference is distributed throughout the entire power grid and radiated by cables and devices such as antennas. A single mains filter directly in front of the hi-fi system cannot solve this far-reaching problem. Therefore, VORTEX HIFI relies on a decentralized concept in which filters are deployed throughout the living area to ensure comprehensive interference suppression.

Another fascinating point Maurer raises is the fact that, despite significant sound modifications through various filters, no measurable signal changes can be detected in the hi-fi system. This suggests that the audible differences are not due to technical modifications of the signal, but rather to the interaction between electrosmog and our own perception. In other words, electrosmog influences our listening experience on a level that goes beyond what conventional measuring devices can detect.

Maurer also emphasizes that the filters developed by VORTEX HIFI not only reduce interference but also transmit positive information. These innovative filtering technologies aim to prevent the two main problems associated with electrosmog—stress and oxygen depletion. Even in an environment with existing interference, these filters contribute to improving well-being and thus the listening experience.

In summary, the five key statements from the interview can be highlighted as follows:

1. Traditional HiFi power filters are outdated : They cannot effectively combat the widespread interference in modern living spaces.

2. Decentralized filtering is the key : By using filters throughout the entire living area, holistic interference suppression is achieved.

3. Electrosmog affects human perception : The effects of interference go beyond what technical measurements can detect.

4. VORTEX HIFI filters transmit positive information : They not only reduce interference, but actively promote well-being.

5. Stress and oxygen deficiency are prevented : Thanks to VORTEX HIFI's innovative filter technology, the negative effects of electrosmog on the human body are minimized.

This interview opens the door to a new dimension of listening and shows how important it is to think outside the box of traditional technologies in order to unlock the full potential of our hi-fi systems.
