Imagine if your loudspeakers have disappeared and you are sitting in the concert hall - this is how loudspeakers sound with the exclusive ones Vortex HiFi techniques.

How do speakers disappear if we can't try Harry Houdini. The solution is: through imagination or, better still, imagination. But you could also say correcting the wrong loudspeaker signal through learned structures.

The main finding is that in hi-fi stereo the speakers and the room always give us incorrect information about the placement of the performers. Only the correction of the extremely wrong acoustic signals in the ear canal due to the head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) by the brain results in a listening experience that feels right for you and creates goose bumps and rocking of the foot.

Turning your head (approx. 30 degrees) or tilting your head changes the sound in the ear canal by up to 20dB. A deviation of the virtual sound source from the real (loudspeaker) by approx. 30 degrees also leads to incorrect frequency responses of up to approx. 20dB. But this is always the case in hi-fi stereo practice! Not even the space is taken into account, just that human head and his individual HRTFs. Therefore, the phase responses and frequency responses can also nie be corrected by a measuring system!

But why is it possible to hear three-dimensionally in perfect rooms with perfectly tuned systems, even though every loudspeaker tells your ear: “the singer, the piano, the cymbal and the organ come from me”.

The answer is that the brain has to find out its truth and impose it on the real acoustics - i.e. replace it. But this requires an extremely efficient nervous system!

However, the latest research shows that precisely the nervous system is affected by alternating fields (Dirty power problem), especially above 2.000 Hz is disturbed and stress arises.

It is precisely these fields that we generate to an extreme degree through the crossover network, the cabling and, above all, through the sound transducers themselves (e.g. the coils of the tweeters), which generate sound by generating a high-energy field in conjunction with a membrane.

Studies show that the interference fields worsen perception

In order to investigate the influence of the interference fields of a loudspeaker on perception, we have devised a large number of experiments.

The graphic below shows the spectrum of an electric field emitted by a tweeter. The green curve shows the E-field without a signal (essentially mass disturbances). The red curve shows the E-field with a noise signal. A drastic increase in an electric field can be seen, even though it is a magnetic field generated in the voice coil. But electric and magnetic fields are mutually dependent.

Through intelligently applied earth potentials, we were able to reduce the radiated field to the blue curve.

Although there was no change in the signal, the sound quality improved extremely in the areas of sharpness, spatiality, image and richness of detail.

Systematically reduce the disturbances

1. Solution optimize speaker cables

The loudspeaker cables are themselves antennas and therefore emit interference from the amplifier. On the other hand, they pass the ground interference of the amplifier on to the terminal, the internal cabling, the crossover and all loudspeaker chassis.

The two pictures below show field strengths with a phase tester with the loudspeaker group switched off (ground connection only) as with the phase of a mains socket. The interference fields are not only visible on the loudspeaker terminal (left picture) but also on the chassis (right).

2. Optimize the speaker crossover solution

The switch also emits interference fields. Since this is usually not shielded and cannot be shielded, the radiation is that of Prof. Dr. Ing.Konstantin Meyl described  Potential vortex to reduce. 3. Optimize the loudspeaker chassis solution

The speakers' magnets and voice coils generate very strong interference. The loudspeaker chassis move precisely because of their fields. Every investment in strong interference suppression agents is worthwhile here.

One possibility is the interference suppression by a AIO round blank 70 which is positioned under the loudspeaker at the front of the baffle. The aim is that all the chassis are covered by the field of the circular blank, which, like the light beam from a flashlight, emerges from the surface of the circular blank in a bundled upward direction. the AIO round blank 70 costs 118, - € each.

Biologically the largest samples are the interference fields with frequencies above 2.000 Hz. These should therefore be particularly suppressed. One possibility is the interference suppression by a AIO - pyramid on the speaker ahead at the edge of the baffle. The pyramid should stand in such a way that the “bottom” of the pyramid is “above” all the chassis. In this way, the AIO pyramid suppresses all chassis.

The AIO pyramids cost € 49 for the 30mm pyramid and € 89 for the 40mm pyramid each.

The perfect solution is the duplication AIO 70 round blank under the speaker and the AIO pyramid on the speaker. It is important to have the correct “polarity” of the interference suppression equipment. The best way to do this is to read the Operating instructions for the AIO pyramids on the subject of bipolar active field.
