Why bother with electricity when you want to enjoy music?

Because practice shows that if you change your power components, the sound changes too! So-called power conditioners, filters, but also special power cables and fuses are usually offered. That can cost 1.000 to 10.000 euros.

What all these measures have in common is that they do not change anything in the sound generated by the hi-fi system! 

Electricity does not change the signal, it changes people!

The systematic, holistic research of this phenomenon by VORTEX HIFI provides answers to many previously open HiFi questions and enables extraordinarily intensive and at the same time inexpensive problem solutions.

Recent research shows the connection between harmonics on the power grid (dirty power) and hearing.

The harmonics of the power grid cause nerve disturbances that impair the inner ear's ability to create detail, dynamics, and a differentiated sense of space. Professor Dr. Magda Havas illustrated the physical problems associated with high harmonics in the power grid at a WHO workshop using the example of an electrosensitive woman: high harmonic content is shown in blue, low harmonic content in red.

Harmonics are emitted as fields ( electrosmog ) from the interfaces, i.e., fuses, power cables, power strips, and wall sockets. Therefore, we have systematically developed a solution for each of these electrical problems.

These are :

1. Open mains sockets that emit interference.
2. Mains cables, which, like transmitting antennas, emit the harmonics from the mains.
3. Mains fuses that generate eddy currents and thus create potential vortices that can damage the sound.
4. Interference suppression of plug-in power supplies

Electricity solution 1: Seal open mains sockets with a high-tech screen

We eliminate this fundamental problem of radiating mains sockets with our Nano Shield technology with unprecedented perfection.

Our Nano Shield Power Plug is simply plugged into a free wall socket or a free socket on a power strip. This allows our Nano Shield fleece , integrated into the plug , to effectively absorb all electromagnetic fields emanating from the socket, up to an impressive 40 GHz.

Through a patented vacuum process, nanoparticles are essentially baked onto our Nano Shield material . This fundamentally alters its physical properties. This surface treatment gives the power plug's shielding material not only a shielding effect up to an incredible 40 GHz, but also something very unusual – an absorption effect!

In addition, we eliminate the so-called potential vortices, which Prof. Dr. Konstantin Meyl describes as the biologically active (and sonically detrimental) components of this field radiation. Power solution 2: Suppress the power cord

A power cable now acts like an antenna for the harmonics and, due to the mismatch between this antenna and the signal being transmitted, generates noise. According to Prof. Dr. Ing. Konstantin Meyl, this creates biologically active, and therefore sound-damaging, potential vortices – the actual cause of the nerve disturbances that impair the listening experience.

Vortex HiFi research has developed techniques that shield against sound-damaging fields ( Nano Shield shield ), dissolve vortices and reduce stress in the listener.

All these technologies are combined in our new power cables . These represent the premium solution. But we can also significantly improve other power cables by eliminating sound-damaging potential vortices ( interference suppression ) and using our stress reduction technology .

We therefore recommend attaching a 30mm AIO semi-precious stone interference suppression disc (cost 2×29,-€) to each power plug to enable maximum natural sound.

Alternatively, we offer a simpler technique without a bioplastic active field and without stress-relieving information – the 2D technique* . Here, a sticker (6mm 2D chip)* is affixed to the point of disturbance (plug), thus dissolving the vortices. The cost is a few euros per plug.

Electricity solution 3: Interference suppression of mains fuses

Each fuse also acts as an interface and, through eddy currents occurring there, generates potential vortices outside the conductors, which negatively affect hearing. Here too, we recommend fitting each fuse with a 30mm AIO semi-precious stone (each €29) for interference suppression and stress reduction .

Alternatively, we also offer basic interference suppression using 2D technology* . While this method does not include the amplifying effect of the bipolar active field and stress reduction, the 20mm 2D interference suppression chip * is sufficient to suppress interference in any fuse for under €10.

Electricity solution 4: Interference suppression of plug-in power supplies

So-called plug power supplies are extremely damaging to the sound. These are often not or hardly shielded because they do not have a metal housing. Therefore, they also radiate directly out of the housing.

Additionally, for energy efficiency reasons, these power supplies are generally designed as switched-mode power supplies. This means that high frequencies are switched onto the mains – thus generating harmonics that are extremely detrimental to sound quality ( see Dirty Power ). These harmonics have very broad and aggressive spectra. The image below shows a 3D magnetic field measurement of the switched-mode power supply of an iPad, in the frequency spectrum from 2.000 Hz to 1.000.000 Hz.

This creates eddy currents and from them potential vortices, which have a negative effect on hearing.

The first choice for suppressing this extremely strong source of interference is the AIO Pyramid 40mm (€89). This device has the strongest field and information transmission.

Alternatively, interference and stress reduction can also be achieved with a 30mm AIO semi-precious stone (each €29). However, this is noticeably less intense.

For beginners, we also offer 2D technology* . While this option lacks the amplifying effect of the bipolar active field and stress reduction, you can still eliminate interference from any power supply using the 20mm 2D interference suppression chip * for under €10. The key principle is: it's better to eliminate all sources of interference than to attempt a major overhaul of just one.
