Nano Diamond Contact Oil
Another Vortex HiFi innovation that solves a real problem!
The problem:
With low voltages, as we use them in HiFi, charge carriers will only transfer from the plug to the socket if they are in direct contact. At the microscopic level, however, you can see a crater landscape in which the surfaces (plugs and sockets) only touch in a few places (Figure 1).
This has two fatal consequences.
- Eddy currents arise because the charge carriers only pass over at a few points.
- An air gap is created in which potential vortices are formed.
Both vortex phenomena are responsible for poor sound, as we have practically known from the hi-fi sector for decades (skin effect, eddy currents in plugs) and explain our theory of the influence of potential vortices on nerve cells.
Plugs and sockets
For many years there have been attempts to create better transitions with "better" plugs with prices of 50, 100 or more euros. This attempt to really solve the problem using “perfect” plugs must fail because both contact surfaces - including the socket - must have this special quality! However, the simplest sockets are usually used even in devices that cost thousands of euros.
Fuses
For microfuses in devices, sums of up to over € 100 are sometimes called up in order to achieve better conductivity and contact capability. But even here the cheapest fuse holders made of ferromagnetic materials leave the actually possible sound progress massively shrink.
Switching power supplies and plug-in power supplies
Many HiFi devices, especially in the “Computer HiFi” area, have plug-in power supplies which are designed as switched-mode power supplies. The plugs are often 2-pin cheap mains plugs, which are designed as Euro plugs. With LED lamps and energy-saving lamps, the contacts are made cheaply, although there frequencies are clocked far into the megahertz range on the network.
What all these interfaces have in common is that there are biologically and sonically damaging eddies!
The solution:
Our new Nano Diamond Contact Oil now solves this biological / sonic problem of the contact points in the double sense.
Our PI - Informed Contact Oil contains so-called Nano diamonds. These are conductive structures in the nanometer range that are made of carbon and form a diamond structure. The nano-diamonds settle in the microscopic depressions and thus improve the ability of the electrons to move from one surface to the next (Figure 2 - gray spheres).
Secondly, the nano diamond contact oil located in the gap dissolves the sound-damaging potential vortices in this non-conductor (dielectric) or does not allow them to arise in the first place (oil, shown in green in Figure 2).
If you now apply the Nano Diamond Contact Oil very thinly to the contact surfaces, this dissolves the two boundaries of the conductors (plug-socket) and "fuses" them electrically.
The result is an unprecedented and previously unimaginably realistic and harmonious musical sensation!
We would like to point out here that it is not about the fairy tale of improving the audio signal through a lower transition resistance of the contacts. Otherwise we would not mention light sources as a problem here either.
Because even bad connectors are able to "worsen" the signal by only approx. 0,1% with approx. 100Ω contact resistance at approx. 100.000Ω output resistance and 0,0001Ω input resistance. In view of the fact that in HiFi, component qualities (component deviations) of 1% to 20% are standard, signal improvement through better contacts is in the Audio signal metrologically practically undetectable and above all not relevant. If the output resistance only fluctuates by 1% (maximum component quality), the effect on the signal is at least 10 times greater than the influence of the contact resistances.
According to our well-founded theory, the effect of better plugs is based solely on one biological effect various vortex phenomena and the materials at the interfaces as effective information on the body! It is interesting here that in homeopathy (THE Information medicine in general), all pure metals have different effects on nerves! And we need the Nev system to turn sound, instruments and ultimately emotions. Any influence on the nervous system is therefore very negative for the perception of music.
Our Nano Diamond Contact Oil will be included with every cable in the blue series from mid-June in order to achieve a worldwide unique contact quality of the plug-in contacts.

The Nano Diamant Contact Oil is also available as an accessory. A 2ml bottle of Nano Diamant Contact Oil is sufficient for a normal hi-fi system and we recommend using it again about every year. We also offer the oil individually for purchase. So you can use the oil for all contacts in the listening room - such as for fuses and lamps or switching power supplies.
