Vortex HiFi Workshop at Loftsound on June 12th and 13th

Many thanks to everyone who stuck with the workshops on this hot weekend. Especially for the workshop on the extremely hot Friday. I would like to expressly apologize to those who had to leave earlier because I had overdone the theoretical part. That won't happen again - I promise! I'm thinking how I can catch up on the music part for those who missed it.

The next workshop at Loftsound will be totally practice-oriented.

workshop 2 at loftsound bild 1 — Left, Norbert Maurer explains the stress relief effect of the Vortex HiFi-Donut using an HRV measurement. Right - Dummy Head “John” showed the effects of HRTFs on 2-channel playback.

I am particularly pleased about the extremely positive reactions to the new PI plugs. In the PI-Plug comparison, one participant even got really cold with goosebumps despite the heat. I really enjoyed that. It is these body reactions for which I develop the products.

Because the workshop was already the 2nd in quick succession, in contrast to the 1st workshop, a very high-quality system was used at a multiple price. Some of the participants who had already participated in the 1st workshop were able to hear that the effects occur regardless of the price of the system and that the character of the system is always retained.

Hello Mr. Maurer,
As a participant in the workshop on June 13.06.15th, XNUMX at Loftsound, I would like to give you absolution, because the break between theory and practice was very pleasant because the already relaxed atmosphere was maintained over a cup of coffee.
My conclusion of the event is very positive, although I have to admit that I was “hooked” a few weeks beforehand at the first workshop in Neheim! - And that to me as an incredulous Thomas (seeing [hearing] is believing), who approaches new things rather skeptically but still open-minded and therefore my motto is: I only believe what I hear myself and not what others say I hear would have to.
In the meantime I am so convinced of the effect especially of your PIProducts that I would like to claim (provocatively) that everyone with a properly assembled system will hear the difference in sound between WITH and WITHOUT the use of Vortex products, or they should look for another hobby!
In conversation with other Loftsound customers, I learned that, compared to some of you, I have used relatively little (10x 30 discs; 25x 20 interference suppression chips; 2x PI power plugs; 2x PI power cables) and still achieved a remarkable result. Each measure was carried out in isolation from the others, so that I always had enough time to let the change in the sound work on me in peace. In my opinion, this is the key to better sound, because the workshop demonstrates which measure can be traced back to which change, but the effect is much stronger within your own four walls, because you inevitably have the sound of your own system at the optimal listening position more familiar than the one in the demonstration.
The most extreme aha experience so far came when I operated my monos via PI power cables: Loftsound had a pair of cables there for test purposes and kindly made them available to me so that I could try them out without obligation.
Result: The sound improved so dramatically after the break-in period that I was forced to buy these cables because otherwise I wouldn't have really enjoyed hearing any more.
Which brings me to the only disadvantage of your products that I know of: for me (and almost certainly for other hi-fi enthusiasts too) these things are addictive. I wouldn't go so far as to say that they lead to crime with acquisitions, but I very much hope that Mr. Schäuble doesn't get wind of it anytime soon, because it is to be feared that he will levy entertainment tax on the Vortex products !?
Before that happens, I will work on the sources of interference step by step until there is no subjectively any improvement.

As a Vortex “Junkie” I fortunately have an inestimable advantage over the deplorable drug addict: The effect achieved does not diminish and so I do not come to withdrawal !?
