Music is something special that has accompanied people in their development for many thousands of years. The oldest instruments found are 35.000 years old. Science is certain, however, that humans began to make music much earlier. Music changes us emotionally but also physically. We don't hear music because of the sound, but because of what the music does to us. So that we can enjoy music and so that music can trigger deep emotions in us, we have to be ready to get involved with the music. But what do I experience when I watch people listening to music today. You have a tablet PC in your hand and are already looking for the next track while listening to music. Whole works, even in classical music, are hardly heard in their entirety and only the “highlights” are played. People no longer come to rest in such a way that they can get involved with the music. You are no longer able to let yourself fall into the music. When was the last time you sat in front of your stereo and looked at the clock and realized that it was late at night or, better yet, early in the morning? When was the last time you were so absorbed in music that you forgot everything around you?
