Test report on the Vortex HiFi Oscillation Alignment Card

Anyone who really wants to listen to audiophile music, most likely knows by now the inventive spirit of Norbert Maurer (owner and brain of Vortex HiFi). In the last few years he has given us a large number of products for optimizing the sound of our hi-fi system. But what he has now brought onto the market after his well-known PI, AIO and Diamant products has really sparked pure enthusiasm in me.

In the following I tell you what happened today (07.02.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX).

After seeing the training video (especially for dealers) for the product presentation of the new Vortex HiFi Oscillation Alignment Card, I was excited to try it out. Because we hi-fi fans love to try out new products that improve the sound of our hi-fi system. Fortunately, the sales department still had some of the new OACards in stock, because Mr. Maurer had already given out numerous cards to enthusiastic Vortex dealers for the North German HiFi Days.

But today the time had come and the OACard's in credit card format were delivered. My T + A HIFi system, which I used in the demonstration, had already warmed up so that I could immediately start the test.

You have to know that the Vortex Oscillation Alignment Card was specially developed for disposing of smartphones (cell phones) and WLAN routers or WLAN access points. The Vortex HiFi OACards, available in 3 different information levels, use the radiation from the devices which it is attached to the on the map to distribute permanently applied interference suppression and stress relief information in the room. In this way, all people within a radius of approx. 20m benefit from the information that has a positive effect on our nervous system.

So I got down to work. As a piece of music I chose the song “Heast as net” from the Austrian singer Ina Regen, which I know and love very well. After a short first audio sample without using the Vortex HiFi Oscillation Alignment Card, I fitted the back of my iPhone XR with the OACard 1 and listened again. One could immediately hear that the singer's voice and the grand piano broke apart and a slight veil was removed from the music. The effect was increased again when I put the second OACard 1 on my Apple AirPort Express, which is responsible for the WLAN in my HIFi studio. All in all, for a card worth EUR 50, this is a remarkable listening result.

That immediately made me want more and I repeated the test with the OACard 2. This time I heard the song “Wie a Kind” by Ina Regen. Here it became immediately clear that the room was noticeably widened and that there was significantly more clarity and contour in the sound image. The grand piano sounded much more sonorous and came a lot closer to its natural model. The gain in natural reproduction was impressive and gave me an idea of ​​the potential that might be dormant in the OACard 3.

So I put the two OACard 2 aside and first heard the song “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins in a live version of the album Serious Hits… Live! Without using the Vortex HiFi Oscillation Alignment Card3. Then I put the OACard 3 behind my iPhone and a second on the Apple AirPort Express. What was now revealed to my ears contradicted any description. I had never heard such an increase in sound with so little effort. And I have already carried out a few workshops with Mr. Maurer here in my HIFi studio in Zwickau, during which we tuned the T + A system that we are now using with Vortex HiFi products to top form. The sound image gained enormously in breadth and depth and the staggering of the instruments and Phil Collins's voice were so extremely live that I gave a loud “That's crazy” from the sheer joy of this sound image. I really felt transported into the concert and turned the volume control up even further to be able to feel the whole live atmosphere of this song. Awesome! I don't want to stop listening to music, because the OACard 3 is so much more fun and enjoyable to rediscover your music collection.
